Westhead
Westhead is a project from singer, engineer, producer, and general nuisance, Maxwell DiFrisco. With Westhead, it is assumed that there will be instruments accompanying words (and usually to a tune). These may be called “songs” or perhaps even “music”. It’s up in the air. DiFrisco tends to like acoustic guitars, some kinds of mallet or percussion instruments, and also reverberation. Though only in halls or chambers. A spring reverb is sometimes enjoyable for him on an electric stringed instrument.
Sometimes the songs are performed for interested audiences. In this case, DiFrisco brings along his supremely talented band of similar looking people. This includes Antonio Rosario on the bass guitar, Braeden Janes on the drum kit, and Reeder Vyain on the synthesizer. Other times, DiFrisco may bring someone with a saxophone, viola, or pedal steel.
Westhead has been on stages such as Lincoln Hall, Subterranean (Chicago), The Buskirk-Chumley Theater, The Bluebird, The Bishop (Bloomington), Hi-Fi (Indianapolis), and Basement East (Nashville).
